Cajun Canvas’ website was a redesign from a standard html website to a php driven site with javascript functionality. Designed in photoshop and converted to html/php/javascript via handwritten coding. Character branding and logo matching. Dynamic calendar recreation with css mouse-over thumbnail to preview; lightbox overlay to load registration page on Calendar and lightbox powered gallery.
Homepage Features
The homepage features mouseover image navigation, created in photoshop, with an image loader to cut down on mouseover loading times. A (javascript) rotating image insertion that reads a directory and randomly selects an image to display; mouse over pauses rotation; linked to Gallery. A mouseover hidden div that loads additional information about a topic. Transparent logo and gator pngs with an IE6 PNG compatibility fix. PHP-mail newsletter sign-up, sends email and zip to Cajuncanvas primary email address with custom message to add to newsletter.
Gallery
Gallery automatically populated with thumbnail and large image from specified directories with no additional coding required when adding new images. Lightbox overlay feature to load images over gallery with the option to view Next & Previous from current image.
Calendar
Calendar features a css coded mouseover affect to view a larger image of painting upon mouseover. Links coded to populate the Registration page with Painting information. Lightbox overlay to load registration page over calendar. Registration page is a PHP-mailer that sends sign-up infomation to CajunCanvas and a customer message back to the person registering.
